Frances Tischler
I am a Brazilian-American Jewish writer, scientist, and lifelong student of Kabbalah. I hold a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and Quantum Mechanics, with peer-reviewed publications in the Journal of Chemical Physics, Macromolecules, Inorganic Chemistry, and Surface Science. I have taught chemistry at the high school and undergraduate levels, worked as a marketing executive in the technology sector, and served for seventeen years as a primary patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, gaining deep insight into the intersection of scientific innovation, technology, and intellectual property.
I studied Torah formally in a traditional yeshiva for over a decade. Kabbalah is not something I studied so much as something I have lived with, wrestled with, and kept returning to my whole life.
I am also a child of a Holocaust survivor. That history — of shattering, exile, and the stubborn persistence of hope — runs through everything I write.
My first book, Lily Earns Her Wings (Amazon KDP, 2006), is a picture book for young readers exploring kindness, gratitude, and personal growth through magical realism.
My second book, Adam Shattered: The OtherSiders, is currently seeking a publisher. It is the book I have been building toward my entire life.
